About Sue Langenberg:

Sue Langenberg’s “Hot Flashes” column was born at weekly publication Freeport iNK, (now defunct) in Northern Illinois.  It followed her B.A. from Northern Illinois University, class of ’98.  It was the year that they let hags out!  The iNK column began at her keyboard whenever she had some imaginary bone to pick about life or a typing tantrum to feel better.  Along the way, the paper also published her theatre/cultural submissions and various other assignments.

The column moved on to Prairie Advocate of Lanark, Illinois and continues to run elsewhere.  She has been the regular dance critic for the Rockford Register Star for more than 10 years with an occasional review of the symphony and opera.  She has written articles for national magazine “Dance Spirit,” and continues to write previews for summer stock theatre “Timber Lake Playhouse.”  She wrote an article for VietNow about PTSD and various online outlets – Boomer Girl and Widethinker.com -- including HumorPress.com where she regularly places in contests.

“Hot Flashes,” continues every week with the latest wry twist inspired by just plain dumb life.  Twitter (whatever that is) at langenberg1 tweets some of her "wisdom" each morning...
